McCabe families step up!

One of the many things that makes McCabe run well is the volunteer spirit of our baseball community. Because our non-profit organization doesn't have a paid staff to set up or clean up, parents pitch in before and after games, knowing these tasks will otherwise fall to our volunteer coaches who already do so much — or won't get done at all and will fall to the next team on the field.

We appreciate you doing all you can to leave our fields better than you found them. If you have any questions, please email mccabeinfo@gmail.com.

Fall 2026 Tee Ball parent responsibilities

Postgame at McCabe's M.L. Rose Field

Home team is responsible for trash.

● After each game, look around and pick up any trash. Remove trash bag from cans on and around the field if full and replace it (trash bags located in Shed 1 or the concession stand at McCabe). Full trash bags go into the blue dumpster at the top of the small field parking lot at McCabe.

Visiting team is responsible for Station Work.

● After each game, pick up balls and put them in the buckets. Straighten agility ladders, line up cones, and collect any wayward gear and arrange it neatly for the next game.

Last game of the day at McCabe

Home team (schedule here): Neatly put away station equipment in shed 1 and lock up.

Postgame at Trailhead Field (both teams)

● After each game, please make sure trash is thrown away in cans. Please leave the field nicer than when you arrived.

● Check for any equipment, chairs or other items you may have brought with you.

Last game of the day at Trailhead Field (ending at 11:30 a.m.)

● Please make sure trash is thrown away in cans. Please leave the field nicer than when you arrived.

● Check for any equipment, chairs or other items you may have brought with you

Fall 2026 6U parent responsibilities

Home Team for 1st game on Saturday at McCabe's M.L. Rose Field: (Home team is listed on the schedule)

●  If the batter’s box and foul lines are not lined, or they are smeared, please create them with the template and chalk. The batter’s box template (big metal gray thing that unfolds to the full size) and chalk are located in Shed 1. That shed should be unlocked already -- but if not, ask a coach for the code. NEVER chalk the grass; only the dirt baselines and foul lines.

●  Retrieve orange "Home Depot" bucket of baseballs (they should all say "level 5" or "safety 5") from the shed, as well as one tee.

Home Team for final 6U game on Saturday at M.L. Rose Field. (Home team is listed on the schedule)

●  Return orange "Home Depot" bucket of baseballs and tee to Shed 1, as well as any other equipment you see.

●  Lock the shed.

Both teams at every M.L. Rose Field game:

●  After each game, look around and pick up any trash. Remove trash bag if full and replace it (trash bags located in Shed 1 or concession stand). Full trash bags go into the blue dumpster at the top of the small field parking lot.

●  Look around for any equipment or items you may have brought with you.

Fall 2026 7U parent responsibilities

Home and away teams, at ALL games:

● Each team must designate a score keeper in the GameChanger app and share starting lineups with the opposing team’s scorekeeper
